New Blog to Follow: Embracing My Superpower, by BHS alumni, Kailey Egrin!

Kailey Egrin graduated from Berkley High School in 2019 and today she is a college student at Oakland Community College. Kailey was highlighted in the Woodward Talk in February 2017 & June 2019 for her story of being a young woman/student with Autism.  Kaily is an inspiration!  She has a strong voice- and she's using it in her new blog: EMBRACING MY SUPERPOWERS!

Youth Led Community Forum: Impact of COVID19 on Youth with Disabilities 5/28 @2pm

Join the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) for a youth-led panel discussion on the impact of COVID-19 on youth with disabilities on Thursday, May 28, 2020, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Youth with disabilities from across the country will talk about the impact the current pande​​mic has had on their lives, communities, and access to supports to ensure that they can continue to thrive.  Follow IEL on social media and visit their website to learn more about the challenges facing youth with disabilities and what they are doing to support them.  Please register to join IEL as they shine a spotlight on the ideas generated by youth and young adults with disabilities and engage your peers to discuss the pressing concerns of the pandemic on this population.
