Intelligent Lives is a documentary film that follows the stories of three pioneering young adults with intellectual disabilities – Micah (2003 Berkley High School Alumn, now a Teaching Assistant in Disability Studies and School of Education at Syracuse University), Naieer, and Naomie – as they challenge perceptions of intelligence while navigating high school, college, and the workforce. Following the screening of the film, join us for a discussion (with Micah's family, including his sister, Emma Fialka-Feldman - a Boston Public School teacher, Sharon Berke, Berkley School District's Transition Coordinator, and others). The event with conclude with a book signing of Janice Fialka's book, "What Matters: Reflections on Disability, Community and Love" which chronicles Micah's groundbreaking life of full inclusion in school, work, and life.
