The Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority (CMHA) and MORC and CLS-Oakland agreed to a four-year service contract last September. Beginning on October 1, 2013, the Michigan Department of Community Health (DCH) announced that it would "re-base" or "re-distribute"current (FY14 and beyond) Medicaid dollars evenly across the ten Michigan "Pre-paid Inpatient Health Plans" (PIHP), which in our case is the Oakland CMH Authority. The bottom line is that the Oakland County CMHA must cut a total about $14 Million dollars over FY14, which translates into about $9.2M for services for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Services may be in jeopardy. Become better informed.

Beginning on October 1, 2014, the Oakland County CMHA may have to cope with a full year of budget reductions from the State of Michigan. The current projections for such reductions could be approximately $9.2 million for services on behalf of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
